WELCOME TO THE GEPATSCHHAUS

Rich in tradition, cozy, and the perfect starting point for mountain tours in the upper Kaunertal. The Gepatschhaus is the first hut in Austria which was bulit by German Alpine Club, located at an altitude of 1,928 meters. Thanks to its prime location directly on the glacier road, it is the first choice for impressive hiking and mountain tours.

Comprehensively renovated in 2024/25, the Gepatschhaus now offers even more comfort: rooms are heated, sanitary facilities have been updated, the entire building is well-insulated, and new windows ensure warmth and a pleasant atmosphere.
